Friends, I have found the perfect pants for work, events, date night, life in general. They’re very on trend right now with bright colors for spring and a tie waist detail. They’re from Express and after wearing my red pair, I’m definitely buying other colors! They’re the High Waisted Sash Waist Ankle Pant, they’re on sale right now for buy 1 get 1 50% off!! (Buying both will also get you free shipping!) They come in NINE COLORS in short, regular and long lengths! The tie is removable, they’re very true to size (I’m wearing the 00 regular), are straight-leg styled, hit at the ankle and have front pockets!!
They’re not just for dressing up though! Here, they’re shown paired with sneakers and a graphic tee, even flats and a tank! They’re so comfortable and breathable that they truly don’t feel like dress pants at all……….. but if I still worked in an office, these pants would be my #1 go-to for business attire. The details tied my look together and the permanent seam down the shin adds the perfect touch of class. The same fit also comes in a wide-leg style (here) for extra comfort and that flare trend that’s back in style from the 70s and 80s! I live for fashion that’s reborn again !!

In January, a sweet woman walked into my preschool tap class, while I was teaching, and asked if a faculty member from Long’s would be interested in being the choreographer for a high school musical. The show was The Pajama Game. I passed along the info because I had never choreographed a “theater” production before and thought it would better suit another instructor. After a few discussions, I ended up agreeing to take the position and signed on for what I never imagined would be the adventure of a lifetime. Walking into my first rehearsal, I didn’t know what to expect but was quickly welcomed with open arms and now have forever memories and bonds with these kids, that I never knew could evolve! For all of us it was challenging with late nights, long days, hours of practice, and only a few short weeks for it all to come together. These kids put on the most wonderful SOLD OUT show on Friday and a second sensational performance Saturday and I couldn’t be more of a proud “mama bear”. Working with them over the past 8 weeks has not only been a true pleasure but I’ve had the time of my life! Being their choreographer has been one of the most rewarding moments of my career and I’m so sad that our time together has ended. Thanks to them, their success and the sweet production director I met on that random Wednesday evening, I can now add musical choreographer to my resume. These kids are a tremendous talent and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for all of them! #Wereallinthistogether
